- Awesome site, with tons of great
pictures from the history of Sci-Fi. I'm amazed to
discover that the concepts of Robots, Cyborgs, AI, and A-Life have been
around for literally centuries! I wouldn't have guessed that
one...
Of course, a clear picture of the
technology to achieve these advances is only now coming to fruition.
But, I am surprised and humbled by the realization that people have long
imagined what I considered new concepts.
I think this speaks strongly to the
idea that transcendence (know known as the
Singularity) is inevitable... it's been on our collective minds for a
very long time! We are only now close to doing it.
