312. Jane⁷ MITTS (Cyrus⁸, Adam⁹) was born in Ohio 20 Nov 1822. Jane died 23 Apr 1877 in FancyCreekTwp, Sangamon, Illinois, at 54 years of age. * * * * * Obituary of Jane Mitts Council, from the Illinois State Journal, April 24, 1877:

Jane Council, fell asleep in Jesus, April 23d, 1877, at her residence. Aged fifty-four years, five months, and three days. She died as she had lived, a devoted Christian for more than thirty-nine years. All loved and all miss "Mother" so very kind to all. She has gone to join her friends and dear ones where there is no more parting. May all the bereft meet her in heaven.

Her body was interred 25 Apr 1877 in FancyCreekTwp, Sangamon Co., Illinois, Fancy Creek Township Cemetery. Fancy Creek Township Cemetery is located in the NW Quarter of the NW Quarter of Section 12, Fancy Creek Township, Sangamon County, Illinois.

COUNCIL in FancyCreekTwp, Sangamon, Illinois, 7 Jun 1851. At 30 years of age Jane became the mother of Lafayette COUNCIL 1853. At 31 years of age Jane became the mother of Elizabeth COUNCIL 1854. At 35 years of age Jane became the mother of Henry COUNCIL 1858. At 37 years of age Jane became the mother of Flora May COUNCIL 1860. At 40 years of age Jane became the mother of Emma Etta COUNCIL 1863. At 44 years of age Jane became the mother of Anna Jane COUNCIL 1867.
