Alfred died 25 Dec 1864 in Springfield, Sangamon Co., Illinois, at 28 years of age. His body was interred in Sprngfield, Sangamon Co., Illinois, Oakridge Cemetery. Alfred Franklin Renfro was originally buried at Huschen cemetery in Springfield (where Springfield High School is in 1999), but was later buried at Oakridge Cemetery, Springfield, Illinois.

He married Martha Frances "Fannie" DAVIS in St. Louis, St. Louis Co., Missouri, Oct 1860.

At 25 years of age Alfred became the father of Moses Wallace RENFRO in Sangamon Co.?, Illinois, 8 Apr 1862.
