399. Martha⁸ McDOWELL (Joseph Jr.⁹, Col. Joseph¹⁰, John¹¹) was born in Cowpens, N.Carolina 29 Jan 1790. Martha died 27 Jun 1849 at 59 years of age. Her body was interred 29 Jun 1849 in Hopedale, Tazewell, Illinois, Orendorff Cemetery.

She married Aaron ORENDORFF 2 Sep 1813. (See Aaron ORENDORFF for the children resulting from this marriage.)

At 24 years of age Martha became the mother of Thomas H. ORENDORFF in Tennessee, 22 Aug 1814. At 25 years of age Martha became the mother of Joseph McDowell ORENDORFF in Tennessee, 26 Jan 1816. At 27 years of age Martha became the mother of Delilah ORENDORFF in Tennessee, 5 Jan 1818. At 30 years of age Martha became the mother of Mary H. ORENDORFF in Tennessee, 20 Aug 1820. At 33 years of age Martha became the mother of Abigail Chapman ORENDORFF in Robertson County, Tennessee, 13 Mar 1823. At 35 years of age Martha became the mother of Cyrus W. ORENDORFF in Tennessee, 18 Aug 1825. At 38 years of age Martha became the mother of Darius ORENDORFF in Hopedale Twp, Tazewell Co., Illinois, 21 Mar 1828. Darius Orendorff was born on Section 34, Township 23 North, Range 3 West.

At 40 years of age Martha became the mother of Minerva ORENDORFF 17 Mar 1830. At 42 years of age Martha became the mother of Solon ORENDORFF 26 Dec 1832.
