Susannah was born in Ohio abt 1826. Susannah was the daughter of MCGREW. Susannah died 23 Dec 1912 in Plymouth, Marshall Co., Indiana, at 86 years of age. At 25 years of age Susannah became the mother of Luella Jacques STANLEY in Cambridge City, Wayne County, Indiana, 23 Jan 1852. At 30 years of age Susannah became the mother of Frank S. STANLEY 21 Oct 1856. At 37 years of age Susannah became the mother of Bertha L. "Bird" STANLEY 12 Jun 1864. At 40 years of age Susannah became the mother of Lizzie E. STANLEY 26 Aug 1866. Susannah applied for a military pension in Indiana, 23 Jan 1902. On January 23, 1902, Susan McGrew Stanley applied to for a military pension, since Henry had died. She was 75 years old at that time. Then on January 27, 1902, she started receiving $8 per month pension, followed by $12 in 1912 until her death on December 23, 1912.

At 46 years of age Henry became the father of Luella Jacques STANLEY in Cambridge City, Wayne County, Indiana, 23 Jan 1852. At 50 years of age Henry became the father of Frank S. STANLEY 21 Oct 1856. Henry reported for active duty in Ohio, April 1861. Henry Stanley served under Captain Bailey Walker in Company F, 15 Ohio Volunteers.

He was released from active duty in Sydney, Ohio, 1 Jul 1861. At 58 years of age Henry became the father of Bertha L. "Bird" STANLEY 12 Jun 1864. At 60 years of age Henry became the father of Lizzie E. STANLEY 26 Aug 1866. Henry was listed as the head of a family on the 1880 Census in Polk Twnshp, Marshall County, Indiana. * * * * * * * In the 1880 Polk township, Marshall County, Indiana, (page 12, about 6 lines down) census, Henry Stanley and family are listed. They probably lived on the south 20 acres of the east half of the northeast quarter of Section 8, Polk Township. On the 1881 platbook of that area, his name might be on that place. * * * * * *

Henry was ill before 1891. Prior to 1891, Henry Stanley had lost all ten of his toes. Also, in 1891, Henry Stanley was 5 feet 2 inches tall, and 130 pounds.

He resided in Denver, Colorado Mar 1891. * * * * From Henry Stanley's pension papers, we see that he had lived 15 1034 Merill Street ND, Denver, Arapahoe County, Colorado in March 1891. He was 78 years old in March 1891. * * * * *

Henry applied for a military pension in Indianapolis, Indiana, 29 Sep 1900. On September 29, 1900, Henry Stanley's pension case was moved from Colorado or Topeka (Kansas) to the Indianapolis, Indiana bureau.

He bought property in Longmont, Colorado, 23 Jan 1902. On January 23, 1902, Susan Stanley said in her military pension filing that they owned 7 or 17 building lots in Longmont, Colorado, (Boulder County).
