Music And Demoscene
I play a few instruments and do electronic music with programs made by people of the demoscene. All my music, released under the name 'Darwin,' is probably distributed under the 'free art license,' which has few restrictions (so I will add it later, but it is described below.) At least it is the 'Creative Commons attribution share-alike non-commercial license,' which means you may remix these non-commercially. Try listening to these music modules in XMMS (or Mod4win or Winamp or best of all Fast Tracker 2.08 or Open Cubic Player or :) Oceanic Trance, Goatrance, Swamp Cricket Triphop, Kuku (an African drum song as trance dub reggae,) Sitar Goatrance, (MadTracker II) 24-tone Sitar Goatrance. At the bottom of my links page is a list of other electronic music I recommend. At my site is the Demo Secret Parts List current version by Phoneix/Hornet, once maintained by Rod/Mandula.
The Free Art License says no one but the author can say (s)he made a work (but one can remix it, only if at each performance (s)he announces the original author(s) & title(s) and if (s)he writes them on each copy and probably gives them fair profit, which are common practices (if applicable) among those who do the liberal arts/sciences (i.e. most science, including Classical music,) but it is not a good convention when such practices are usually ignored by those who play this sort of music but do not make it.
