Dear God, we give Thanks for this day and for Creation of which we are a part. Perhaps you chuckled just a little this morning to see our Pastor bless the animals and plants. For they are in your lap every second of their existence; they have no need of us as intermediaries!

But God, we ask for the blessing of your creatures for our sakes; to remind us that we are all kin under your care and power. And how badly we need to be reminded of that, Lord!

Your presence allows us to see true reality; that all of creation is One, that we are all One. You have shown us that when our decisions are made in the conscious or subconscious belief that we are all totally separate, isolated individuals they lead to selfishness and folly, to pain and suffering for ourselves and for creation around us. When we decide and act out of the deep realization that we are all One, imbued with your spirit, it is called wisdom, we do your will on earth and we honor earth as our Mother.

Lord, we know that your power and presence are available to us every second of our lives. Why then do we ask for it? We do so in order to clear a path in our minds and hearts, to still the chatter of our separate selves, so your power may flow forth and give us wisdom.

This we ask in your name, Amen.
