Two of my compositions, "Childhood Home" and "When She's Gone", placed in
the final 12 in the instrumental jazz category at the 17th annual Los Angeles
Music Awards competition for 2007! I also received a "Jazz Artist" award.
I perform on Hauntress, the acclaimed CD by Denise Jordan Finley
with Daniel Pagdon (bass). I play flute, alto flute, vibes, soprano sax and
muted trumpet on three tracks, and wrote the horn arrangements.
Next project: Tomas Martin Lopez, master Latin percussionist with Rio JAZZ,
is recording a Latin jazz album with my compositions. We will have some great
musicians including Bill O'Connell playing on the CD. Very cool!
