Getting to Know the SandalowsRev. Al Sandalow grew up in southern California and received his undergraduate degree in communication studies in 1981 from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He earned a master of divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in 1984. He was ordained in the Presbyterian Church in 1988. Al has worked in eight different Presbyterian churches since his college years. Al has been active in the larger Presbyterian Church, in parachurch groups, and in the community. He is a dedicated husband and father.
Al's wife and partner, Arda, is an active member of First Presbyterian Church and is involved in many activities. She enjoys sewing and volunteering for activities in which their girls participate in the church, school, and community.
Alisha is 19 and is a first-year student at Central Washington University She baby-sits for a large group of families, an activity she enjoys tremendously. Alisha also loves reading, swing dance, and especially traveling. She have traveled as a part of a mission team to the Ukraine and is active in our youth fellowship programs.
Ariana is 15 and is a 9th grader at Morgan Middle School. She loves reading and drama. Recently she has taken up basketball and fencing. She has become a BIG Cougar fan and is thinking about becoming a teacher or lawyer. She is active in the church middle school group, helps with Children's church, and with our elementary fellowships and camps.
As a family, the Sandalows enjoy camping, traveling, bicycling, and Crash Team Racing. Al also enjoys "toying with my computer, hunting, and shooting sports." Recently, he's been playing a lot of "Halo."
