Hi everyone, I must explain more about Locomotive Engineer Edward G. Dulik since this was his collection. Edward started his career with The Milwaukee Road as engine watchman in the state of Washington on January 28, 1910. He began as Locomotive Fireman on April 25, 1910 and was promoted to Locomotive Engineer on April 13, 1918. 
 
I have more to say about Louis J. Dulik because in the attached newspaper clipping it states that he retired February 4, 1947. That is not true as I worked with him on the Beverly Helper in March of 1956 and many other times before. He was electrocuted when he went up the ladder on the front of the locomotive and lost his footing. When he started to fall he reached out to grab something which was the lowered panograph. He forgot that the fishpole was up to keep up the air. Then fell to the ground and this restarted his heart and he survived for several years after that. Louis never worked for the railroad after this accident. 

I worked many many times with Locomotive Engineer Ed Dulik early in my career. Ed's brother Louis J. Dulik was a Locomotive Engineer on the Beverly Helper from the time I went to work on August 15, 1950 until he retired. His career started as a fireman on February 1, 1904 back in Green Bay, Wisconsin and he was promoted to Locomotive Engineer on October 19, 1908. I feel so honored to have been able to work with such historic veterans as Ed and Louis Dulik.
