HORSEBACK RIDING IN YELLOWSTONE COUNTRY
In the summer, we offer pack trips into the mountainous, back country.  The licensed area for the Halo Ranch Outfitters is one of the largest in the world!  The permitted area is actually located on both the Idaho and Montana side of the Continental Divide as well as the remote west boundary of Wyoming.  Halo Ranch Outfitters offer more than just  pack trips! Whether you want a great all day ride up on the mountain, or a half day ride in the lower areas around the lakes and streams, or even a ride to explore and look for wildlife, a family style adventure can be customized to your needs.
Leave your stressful life behind and explore the mountains and lakes located near the remote western boundary of Yellowstone National Park and away from the tourist rush.

We have horses for all levels of  riders including no experience at all

Diamond "P" Ranch Logo

From June until October, The halo Ranch Outfitters operate from the famous
Diamond "P" Ranch located just three miles from the Continental divide, on the Montana side. The rides from this ranch can go along the mountainous Continental Divide or it can stay in the high-country meadow land.
If riding in the meadows appeals more to you than riding in the mountains, you can actually ride among the cows and at times you can even help move cows from pasture to pasture!

HALO A RANCH

During the spring, before the snow has melted in the high country, the Halo Ranch Outfitters guides conduct their horesback riding tours from the  Halo   'A'   Ranch . The Horses are saddled at the ranch and then transported by trailer to different trail-heads, mostly in the Juniper Mountains of Idaho.  The snow is not as deep there and the wildlife is more likely to be found in the early spring.

These rides are in a remote area, the spring flowers are beautiful, the smell of sagebrush and cedar trees is invigorating.

The length of these rides depend on the desires of the group; (which must be composed of five riders or more)  The minimum amount of time is  three hours. The maximum is as long as there is day light!
Rates: $50.00, regardless of length or time in the saddle!
