title: Ebb Tide

This photograph of moored sailboats and an ebb tide on the New England Coast looked so atmospheric with the clouds of morning fog in the background that I felt it would make a fine watercolor. Using my usual trial and error techniques offered by Photoshop, I found that by solarizing the print and manipulating the color contrasts I could re-create the image I had in mind. Again, what really brings out the effect is the large print size.
