Peace Knights of the Soul is an in-depth analysis of the metaphysics of the two Star Wars trilogies. This book also contains spoilers about Episode III: Revenge of the Sith that dovetail with unconfirmed plot summaries on the Internet concerning the last Star Wars film that chronologically is first. George Lucas publicly announced a darker story for smaller audiences with less revenue because the bad guys win.

Peace Knights of the Soul uses characters and themes from selected science fiction film to illustrate four basic principles about learning peace consciousness. Neo and Trinity in “The Matrix,” Prot in “K-PAX” and Luke and Leia Skywalker in “Star Wars” are prototypes. That peace in the world begins in the mind is an ancient idea and does not involve social movements, political parties or military forces.

George Lucas was influenced by the ideas of mythologist Joseph Campbell in the writing of Star Wars. Campbell’s long-time assistant and archivist, psychologist Jonathan Young, provides an introduction to Peace Knights of the Soul that places the work in the tradition of spiritual and mythological scholarship. He claims, “For those fascinated with seeking the meaning of life, this work is illuminating.” After all, peace consciousness is the end-goal of metaphysics.
