Wish List

For the improvement of the facilities, and to increase the number of ways they can be of use to the members of our Pagan community, I would not turn down donations of such things as:

One warning, though, my vehicle has no trailer hitch, because I have no experience (and little desire) with hauling trailers on the public roads. This of course limits my ability to "go and pick-up" some kinds of things.

Groundskeeping

•  gas for the mower & tractor

•  2-Stroke oil for making up chainsaw and weed-whacker mix.

•  0.065 line for the weed whacker

•  VERY IMPORTANT -- Need a volunteer mechanic who can keep the various mower/saw/whacker engines running from year to year. This is not a skill-area I am conversant with.

•  Xxxxx

Outdoor Lighting

•  torches to enable evening use of the smaller groves

•  short bamboo-torches for carrying in evening processionals

•  Citronella lamp oil (the most popular type used outdoors, for some reason).

•  solar garden lights for the pathways

•  replacement (and spare) wicks and mantles for torches and lanterns. I don't know where they go -- you wouldn't think that birds would cart away fiberglass permanent wicks. Or the metal caps that hold them to the torch tops.

•  Seven more Rope-Light sections to add to the lighting of the path from stone-wall gateway to parking area.

•  Xxxxx

Seating

•  rosin outdoor chairs, both adult and child sizes

•  "park benches" of stone, concrete, metal, wood, recycled plastics, or mixed construction

•  Xxxxx

Pathways and High-Traffic Spots

•  patio blocks -- standard thickness, but size-shape-color at your whim

•  bricks

•  a bucket load (or even a truckload if you're crazy-generous) of half-inch crushed rock for improving and leveling some of the pathways

•  Xxxxx

Fire Wood

•  four railroad ties toward improving the "woodshed"

•  charcoal, propane, etc. for the BBQ/Kitchen

•  Donations of firewood itself, should anybody come across a listing for it free on Craigslist or other advertising.

•  Xxxxx

Kitchen Construction

•  pieces of clean lumber toward construction of the Kitchen (and later the Pavilion) facilities

•  used-but-serviceable 100-amp breaker box for the Kitchen

•  old-but-servicable cabinetry and/or countertops for the BBQ/Kitchen

•  kits,  or materials toward the building of, or even completed, Picnic Tables

•  outdoor electrical fixtures (such as: outlets, junction boxes, floodlamp sockets, 3-conductor cable, )

•  Xxxxx

Pavilion Construction

•  Xxxxx

•  Xxxxx

Sweat Lodge

•  claw-foot bathtub for putting out the Sweat Lodge fire pit.

•  Canvas towards stitching-up a more permanent removable cover for the lodge frame.

•  Xxxxx

... and of course, volunteers to assist with each phase of the construction projects.

The more facilities that all you immensely creative and inventive people think up to suggest for the Groves, both practical and fantastic, the longer the list of possible items needed could become! I do try to restrict the actual list posted here to facilities which are actually under planning.
