Dude

born May 14, 2004

Dude came to us from Curly Horse Rescue, Inc. in the fall of 2005.  He came along with his sister, who has since been adopted.  We served as the foster home and then eventually decided to adopt him.   Dude, once past the difficulties of his previous life, became a rather mellow, intelligent, but introspective young horse.  His sire is ex-stallion, *Lilac Hill Dutch Mocha, and his dam is *CVC Crescendo.  Although both his parents sport curls, Dude does not, and so in known as a "Smooth coated Curly".  Despite the lack of curls, he is still hypo-allergenic for the people who have tested him.

Dude, now rising 4, is participating as Guin's Senior project for an independent course through her school's Renaissance Program.  Her goal is to have him begun under saddle by the end of May.  Because he had some worries and fears from his past, she is taking it slow.  He is doing quite well.

Here are a few pictures of the two of them from this past fall, as well as two from our Christmas card photo shoot.
