*GMC Sierra Verde

*GMC Sierra Verde (meaning Green Mountains) is the first foal born on our ranch.  Sierra, whom we call *Ra as she was born with the rising sun, is a wonderful example of a Curly.  She is curious, intelligent, loves to “hang” with us humans, and is rarely spooked by anything around her.

*Ra now is owned by Cathy Thygeson of  Pennsylvania.  She shares her pasture with *YS Jozu, and *Rudy, both curly mares, as well as, Dalton, a retired TB.  *Ra is doing well at her beginning under saddle training; here she is pictured with Cathy's daughter, Catie.  Well done!

*Sage is full brother to *Ra above.  A bright bay, he has grown taller than his sister, which is normal as often the first foal from the womb doesn't grow as large as subsequent full siblings.

*Sage now belongs to the Whitaker-Law family in Maine and is boarded at a riding and training stable.  Plans for the future are to get him started under saddle for trail riding and showing him in English competitions, and eventually try some Dressage with him.
