Dead Lakes Park is located north of Wewahitchka, on West Arm Creek. Once a fish hatchery, owned by the State of Florida, it was later made into a state park.  During state budget cuts several years ago, the park was deeded to Gulf County. The Gulf County Commission has reconstructed the park and it's nicer and more enjoyable than ever.  Few people know that it exists, but it's popularity is growing.

This is the main entrance to Dead Lakes Park and Recreational Area.  It is located at the east end of _____ Road.  The park has a concrete boat ramp that can be used at very low water levels. I might add, the use of the ramp is free.  There are approximately 25 RV sites with 30 amp hookups and water.  Tent sites are also located in the park. Payment is on the "Honor System".
