Farrington is a noteworthy Dutch stallion, descended from the legendary stallion lines of Farn-Nimmerdor-Wellington, Lucky Boy and Doruto. Dressage talent is equally rooted in Farrington's dam lines, which has produced international competitors such as Slow Fox V.

Farrington is known primarily as a breeding stallion. Though he received excellent marks during his 1991 stallion test, winning the dressage portion of the test, a leg fracture put an early end to his performance career. In Holland he has produced 24 star mares, 20 keur mares and 1 preferent mare to date. His 2006 dressage index value is 127.
