Ghiaten has been bred to be an incredible athlete. Her sire is the respected Holsteiner stallion, Caretino, who established a reputation as an international jumper with riders Bo Kristofferson and Ludger Beerbaum. He has also made a name for himself as a sire of performance horses, especially jumpers, passing on the talent of Caletto II and Cor De La Bryere. The offspring of Caretino are also known for their willing attitudes that are believed to derive from Metellus on the dam sire line.
Ghiaten is the tenth foal for our wonderful broodmare, Ghia. Ghia
has been a superb mother of dressage-type horses in our breeding
program. A close examination of her pedigree reveals the Swedish
Warmblood stallion Elektron, who was noteworthy jumper. So Ghiaten may
be the all around athletic sporthorse that can compete in either
dressage or jumping.
