The Youngblood descendants met June 20th at the Senior Citizen's Center in Harrison, Arkansas. They are the grandchildren of William Joseph Youngblood and Julie Ann Winters. As well as descendants of the grandchildren.

Ron Youngblood, who has a first class band, had it set up and they entertained and then played for the many talented Youngblood children.

Ron is a child of Ernie Youngblood. Riley Harris, his cousin, who's mom was Ernie's sister "Pallie", also sang and played and his brother Gene Harris. The Youngblood children descending from Ernie Youngblood and the Harris children descending from Martha Palestine "Pallie" Youngblood were close while growing up and they remain so to this day. They each attend each other's reunions, all the Youngblood and Harris grandchildren of William Joseph can play many instruments and sing. Lots of preachers in the group also.

This year brought a real reunion with a line of the Youngbloods that we had no records of or contact with. That is the family line of Henry Youngblood, whose father was also William Joseph. Henry moved away to Texas and parts unknown over 60 years or more ago. The last time any of the family knew of him was in the late 50's when he came to visit his sister, Pallie, and then he left and died not long after that. No one had further contact. This past year we learned that the 2 sons of Henry were still alive and where they lived and contact was made. Through all of that 4 generations of Henry's line came to this reunion. What a great time was had visiting and learning about their families. They were so glad to know their family members. Those that came were Robert and Roy Youngblood (both Henry's sons). They are from San Antonio, Texas.

Also present was Robert's family, his son Tommy Youngblood and Tommy's son Mark Youngblood. Tommy's wife also whose name is Donna Youngblood. Mark's wife is Kristy and she is a conference speaker and singer and has a ministry called "Youngblood Ministries" and Mark's daughter Lacey Ann Youngblood. We are hoping they can come up with a picture of Henry for us and I am sending them old pictures of William Joseph and Julie and others of Henry's brothers & sister.

Corky Youngblood was there and his health hasn't been good. He had a pacemaker put in and Jesse "Jiggs" couldn't come this year as he was sick. It was discovered he has a blockage. But there were approximately 85 there and lots of food, visiting, music, music, music. We are all looking forward to next years.

Also new this year was Gary, Hope and Berry Wells. Hope is a great granddaughter of William Joseph and her dad is his namesake. Her grandfather was Ernie Youngblood.
